  • Paulo “Speedy” Goncalves lived a life not many have.


    He was born on 5th February, 1979 in Gemeses, a small parish in Portugal, and it was apparent very early on that he was here on this earth to race.


    Over the next 40 years, he established himself as a true legend in the world of motorsports, racking up 23 total titles in motocross, supercross and enduro.

    Speedy became a Dakar mainstay, contesting 13 editions of the rally and notably finishing 2nd in 2015.

    He is survived not just by his family, but every member of the racing fraternity.

    Speedy Forever.

    Runner up at Dakar 2006 The 2006 Dakar Rally, also known as the 2006 Paris-Dakar Rally, was the 28th running of the Dakar Rally event. The 2006 event ran from 31 December 2005 to 15 January 2006. It started from Lisbon, Portugal, and passed through Spain, Morocco, Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, before finishing in Senegal

    raced the dakar on african, south-american & asian continents with a runners-up &and several top 10 finishes to his credit
