HERO MOTOSPORTS
A DECADE ON THE WORLD STAGE
In 2016, Hero MotoSports Team Rally began with a bold ambition: to test Hero Products against the toughest terrains on Earth, and to put India firmly on the global rally-raid map.
Ten years later, that ambition has transformed into a record of firsts.
From our first rally in Morocco to our first Dakar, from becoming the first Indian team and manufacturer to finish a Dakar and then go on to win a Dakar stage, to standing second overall on the Dakar podium, winning our first World Championship Rally and ultimately claiming the title of 2024 FIM World Rally-Raid Championship, Hero MotoSports has grown into one of rally-raid's leading teams.
Born at Hero MotoCorp's Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur, and working in close collaboration with Hero Tech Centre Germany, Hero MotoSports brings together, the passion of a truly global team of riders, engineers, mechanics and specialists united by one pursuit: to keep pushing the limits of what a man rider and machine can achieve together.
The knowledge earned across thousands of kilometres of sand, rock, gravel and extreme conditions continuously feeds the evolution of our race machines and our product portfolio.
On our home tracks as well, our performance and records are enviable, making us the premier racing outfit in the country.
Hero MotoSports has built a growing national racing programme in India, developing high-performance machines based on the Xpulse platform and creating opportunities for Indian riders across rally and supercross disciplines. In 2026, that commitment took its next major step with the launch of India's Next Dakar Hero, a long-term programme designed to identify, train and develop young Indian off-road talent for the international rally-raid stage.
As we enter our second decade, the ambition is bigger than ever.
To race at the front.
To keep advancing the machine.
To create a pathway for the next generation.
And to keep taking India further on the world stage.
Ten years down. We continue to Race The Limits.
WHY HERO MOTOSPORTS
Rally-Bred, Road-Ready
Rally raid is one of the harshest proving grounds in motorsport.
Extreme heat. Endless dunes. High-speed tracks. Rock, dust and thousands of competitive kilometres where reliability is never optional.
Hero MotoSports takes engineering into these environments to learn under pressure, continually developing its race machines and translating this experience from competition to our product portfolio.
TO PUT INDIA ON THE GLOBAL MOTOR SPORTS MAP
What began as an ambition to put India on the international rally map has become something much bigger.
A Dakar stage victory.
A Dakar podium.
A World Championship rally victory.
A World Rally-Raid Championship title.
Over ten years, Hero MotoSports has helped bring laurels and recognition to India as a leading name in the global rally raid.
TO BUILD INDIAN HEROES
The future of Indian motorsport cannot be built through one rider or one race.
It needs a pathway.
Through national racing and India's Next Dakar Hero, Hero MotoSports is using a decade of international experience to identify, train and nurture young Indian talent, giving promising riders a structured route from domestic competition towards the highest levels of international rally raid.
The first decade was about proving how far an Indian team could go.
The next is about creating more Indian Heroes.
