The Rally Life Bootcamp, conducted in the outskirts of Bengaluru, was an adrenaline-fueled extravaganza! As soon as the participants arrived, they hit the track for a quick assessment. Based on their skill and proficiency, each of them were assigned into different groups, to maximise their Bootcamp experience.
Marking his signature style, Joan Barreda made a big bang entry into the event venue on his Hero Rally 450. What followed was an insightful sit-down session - where Barreda shared his racing journey, ideas and strategies, and the core mindset that helped him conquer the rally-raid world. Engines soon roared as our national racing team joined the Dakar legend to deliver an electrifying track action show - an engaging display of sheer power and Hero's engineering prowess, that set the best tone for an adrenaline-packed day!
After a flurry of selfies with the legendary Dakar rider, his autographs acquired on bikes and helmets, the bootcampers were finally ready to start their training sessions. Participants were split into parallel groups where they were trained by our team on enduro and dirt track training, roadbook navigation, and basics of bike maintenance. Participants mastered the areas of body positioning, bike handling, riding on diverse terrains, managing descents and climbs, cornering, making jumps, and much more. An icing on the cake - the roadbook navigation session took them on a thrilling trail ride exploring the rugged outskirts of Bengaluru. The day finally wrapped up with smiles, selfies, and memories etched in the hearts and helmets of the participants!
